As any frustrated fan would do, I have have been looking for answers (and excuses) lately. Why couldn't the Nuggets finally win a first round playoff series? Why couldn't they win just one game? Why can't the Avs keep up with the Red Wings? Why can't the Broncos even make the playoffs?

I think I might have figured it out.

The Colorado Rockies used up every last drop of Denver's good sports karma during last year's World Series run. Sorry Nuggs, Avs, and Broncos... they drank your milkshake! They drank it up!

Was it worth it? I don't know... you have to admit, Rocktober was pretty awesome. I guess I'm ok with trading a Roxs World Series appearance for one year of utter disappointment with the rest of Denver's big four.

But anything more would be intolerable. So start sending good vibes into the sports universe, and pray to whatever sports gods you worship. Personally, I've found Ganesh to be quite accommodating.
