ESPN delivers gloomy forecast for the Nuggets

September 12, 3:58 PM
by Erin Hickey, Denver Sports Examiner

Will this be a common sight this season?
Earlier today, I posted a poll asking which Denver team would have the most success this year. Well, I'm pretty sure I know who ESPN wouldn't vote for....

In its recently released summer forecast, ESPN has the Nuggets finishing in 10th place in the western conference... safely out of the playoffs. Most of ESPN's concerns center around the loss of Marcus Camby, which it fears will render the Nuggets defense largely impotent. Coupled with the fact that the west has at least 9 or 10 playoff-caliber teams, this makes for a tough road for the Nuggets.

ESPN's complete projections:
1. Lakers
2. Hornets
3. Rockets
4. Jazz
5. Spurs
6. Suns
7. Mavs
8. Blazers
9. Warriors
10. Nuggets
11. Clippers
12. Kings
13. T-Wolves
14. Grizzlies
15. OKC Thunder

Nuggets add Balkman, don't get any worse....

July 29, 12:09 PM
On Monday, the Nuggets acquired forward Renaldo Balkman from the Knicks for guard Taurean Green, forward Bobby Jones, and a 2nd round draft pick in 2010. Try as I might, I just can’t get excited about this move. It’s not a bewilderingly stupid... Read More
