Cataloochee Ski area in Maggie Valley will open the 2009-2010 season October 19th! This will be the first resort open in North Carolina this year. Cataloochee began making snow and has even had snow falling on their slopes. If your like me, you have been aching to hit the slopes and this is your chance to get an early start on the season.
