All the major airlines have increased fares another $10 following the fare increase by Delta and Continental.  This is the second fare increase in two weeks.  As of now, Southwest and AirTran have not matched this increase.  While the amount is small, it's another blow to airline passengers as the airlines continue to struggle. 

Fees and fare hikes continue to add to the ever increasing costs of flying.  Fare hikes that are matched this quickly don't normally stick.  However, with holiday travel plans being made, the demand for travel could be up.  This fare hike is on the heels of recent fare hikes, fees for busy travel days/holidays, and fees for 2nd bag overseas.  For more information on this story, see www.msnbc.msn.com/id/33450422/ns/travel-news/
