J.J. Abrams just can't stay out of the news. In the midst of all the speculation and announcements that have come out of the Abrams camp over the past few weeks, a new possibility appears that seems just a "little" surprising.
Hollywood has had its shot at toy lines from the 80s, but now it appears that they're headed back a bit further in the children's culture time machine to start grabbing up 70s toy lines. The first antiques they're eyeing? Micronauts.
According to The Wall Street Journal, J.J. Abrams has been in talks with studios about bringing the toy line to the big screen, right along with the likes of Transformers, G.I. Joe, and He-Man.
"J.J. Abrams, who created the TV show "Lost" and directed this summer's "Star Trek" film, is in discussions to produce a movie about Japanese toy line Micronauts, which Hasbro just acquired." (via io9.com)
While there are currently no other details surrounding the possibility of a coming Micronauts movie from J.J. Abrams, I have included a slideshow for those who don't know much about the toy line or for those who just want their big dose of nostalgia for the day.
