Will Scrubs see much more of Zach Braff?
Will Scrubs see much more of Zach Braff?
(ABC)

A little confusion has arisen recently concerning Zach Braff's involvement with the show that he brought to success as it begins its ninth season.

Originally, it was reported that Zach Braff would no longer be a regular part of Scrubs as it moved into its ninth season.  For many, this news was a bad move for Scrubs, which had built its formula based on the imaginative meanderings of character J.D.'s mind, played by Braff.

Now, however, it seems as though Zach Braff may be playing a larger role in Scrubs season 9 than was originally expected.  Promotions that aired earlier this week featured Zach Braff, and made it appear as though he would continue to be the star of the show.

Also, ABC's official description of the show had this to say:

The series follows the unique point of view of Dr. John "J.D." Dorian (Zach Braff). After leaving for a job at another hospital, J.D. returns to Sacred Heart to teach at its medical school alongside Chris Turk (Donald Faison), Perry Cox (John C. McGinley), Denise (Eliza Coupe) and Bob Kelso (guest star Ken Jenkins). Together they serve as professors (and inspiration) to a brand new class of med students, including the impressionable Lucy (Kerry Bishé), former med school drop out Drew (Michael Mosley), and cocky, entitled Cole (Dave Franco). As for his personal life, J.D. is now married to longtime sweetheart Dr. Elliot Reid (guest star Sarah Chalke), and the happy couple are expecting their first child.

To top it off, the Scrubs Facebook fan page gave a few more details:

    •    Zach Braff will be in at least 6 episodes, and will still be an integral part of it.
    •    Sarah Chalke will be guest starring on the show in a few episodes and her real life pregnancy has been written into the show.
    •    The internal monologues WILL remain, and in fact new character Lucy will have some hilarious fantasy-esque sequences.
    •    Bill Lawrence, the creator and showrunner of the first 8 season wrote the first episode.

So what do you think?  how much of a role will Zach Braff play in the coming season of Scrubs?  Tell me in the comments section below, and don't forget to watch the slideshow!
