Addie's Monthly Eat-ups: Baking with beer talk with Jennie Chen

Jennie Chen, aka @misohungry and winner of the "Most Diversified Portfolio" award from Austin Chronicle's Best Of 2009, will share some of her secrets about baking with beer and maybe even a recipe or two at the Baking with Beer Talk on Thursday, October 22 from 6-8 pm. Jennie has been drawing quite a bit of attention recently with her beer-laced cupcakes and other baked goods, including bread. Rather than do a full-on cooking demonstrations, it was decided that a quick talk and Q&A over beers would be even better.
The talk is being held at the Draught House as part of Addie's Eat-ups, a monthly gathering hosted by Addie Broyles of Relish Austin. Even if you don't care about baking, join Jennie and for a pint of quality beer.
Tentative menu items include:
- Live Oak Hefeweizen Lemon Curd
- Brooklyn Brewery Post Road Pumpkin Ale Bread
- (512) Brewing Pecan Porter Chocolate Bread
- (512) Brewing Pecan Porter Brownies
- possibly Brooklyn Brewery Pumpkin Chocolate Cake
No cost, but donations to cover Jennie's expenses to make delicious treats will be accepted.
