If your baby is overtired, has a sinus infection or has a cold they may occasionally snore. If this is the case then snoring is nothing to worry about. Carefully monitor your baby while they sleep to understand if snoring becomes a problem. If your child continues to snore consistently every night it could be due to large tonsils that obstruct their breathing when they sleep. Many children undergo a simple surgery to get their tonsils removed however it is not recommended for children under 3. If you feel your child is having problems breathing at night, be sure to talk to their pediatrician. Children with a snoring problem do not get a good night of sleep and often feel very tired the next day.
