Find out more about Mark: Rumor has it that Mark was born, or perhaps hatched, on June 1st, 1958. He did a lot of camping and hiking while growing up. His indulgent parents allowed Mark and his brother to plan many family vacations, so he went to Mount Rainer, Prairie Creek Redwoods State Park, Crater Lake, and many other places while still young. When he got older he started going places on his own. Then he married a great gal with a serious travel bug. So as an adult, Mark has gone hiking in Yosemite, Yellowstone, Rocky Mountain National Park, Mount Saint Helens, New Zealand, and numerous state and county parks in southwest Washington. Mark moved to Vancouver, Washington (The 'Couve) in September of 2002. The local parks and trails are all new and exciting to him and he is trying to visit as many as he can. Mark has been a writer for many years, so he now gets to combine his love of hiking and writing. He thinks that he is very practical guy, so he intends to include all of the important details in his posts. |
