If you are in the Muldraugh or Radcliff area you are close to Otter Creek State Park. Since the city decided to shut down the park there has been some issues with the local spirits there and now what remains is a haunted state park and the spirits are in full array right now! Nightmare Forest and Witch’s Woods will leave you breathless and scared to pieces. For the price of one attraction Nightmare at Otter Creek offers you two haunted attractions this year. And for just $20.00 per person you can enjoy a few good scares and the kiddies can enjoy a new event this year called Goblins Galore for just $8.00 per child where there isn’t to much scaring but a lot of fun. Main hours of scaring are Fridays and Saturdays from dusk till 1am. The children’s event is open Saturdays from 12pm-5pm and Sundays from 1pm-5pm.

Into movies and love to watch Halloween movies every year, no matter how many times you’ve seen Nightmare on Elm Street? Well then you might want to drop everything and make sure you attend the Hysteria event that is taking place at the old Wal-Mart across from the Jefferson mall in Louisville Kentucky every Friday and Saturday in October. You will walk through reenactments of nine decades of the scariest movies ever to hit the big screen with some of the best actors in the area playing the scary roles. Admission is just $13.00 per person and guarantees you the scare of your life. Truly an event worth attending if you like the old movies where scary was a word that meant you would leave the theatre in tears and shaking like a leaf. Gone are those days of good scary movies but those that scared us are being preserved in this once a year event.

Not into scary events and haunted forests? Well maybe more down your ally is the annual Gun show. Although not scary, unless one of the monsters from the nearby haunted forest escapes, grabs a gun in the gun show that was mistakenly loaded and opens fire like a mad crazed Jason, it IS set to take place on Halloween. The annual gun show will start on Halloween and continue through November 1st 2009. The event will be held at the Louisville fairgrounds and expo, west hall A and B. There will be around 500 tables this year all showing truly extraordinary weapons both new and old. Every year the gun show travels all over the United States supporting their rights as an American to own a firearm. Don’t miss this exciting event Louisville.
