Aventura residents can now enjoy Waterways dog park located at: 3401 NE 213th Street.  Since its opening in 2008, the park has seen a steady flow of regulars and seasonal visitors. With its spacious grassy areas and much needed shaded benches, this bark-park has plenty to offer for its four-legged visitors and their two-legged companions.

Waterways dog park offers water fountains for both humans and dogs, and park benches throughout the facility. The park also features a shaded patio area with benches and picnic-style tables, a much needed feature for South Florida park-goers.

Four-legged visitors to the park can enjoy ample running ground, where they can exercise and socialize. For the fitness-minded owners, there is also a paved trail that surrounds the inner perimeter of the park.

Owners should be mindful, while the park is fenced and off-leash, dogs of all sizes roam freely together as there is no separate area for small dogs. Though some incidents have been reported, there is a park attendant usually on site, and owners are asked to be attentive.

Park conditions vary according to weather, a colored paw print located at the entrance of the park indicates conditions in the park for that day. Hours of operation change according to Daylight Savings. The current park hours are: 8am - 8:00pm. Waterways park is open 7 days a week.

While Waterways park is small, it offers its visitors a comfortable and enjoyable dog park experience. Parking is limited, especially during high traffic hours. The park attracts more visitors between 5PM and 8PM on weekdays. Weekend mornings are usually calm, and offer plenty of parking, while afternoon hours typically after 3PM see higher traffic.

Waterways park requires Aventura ID for entry, please make sure you have your resident card prior to visiting the park. Resident cards can be obtained at Founders park, please call: 305-466-8556 for an appointment. Proof of residency is  required for ID card.
