Immaculate Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Grand Junction offers several service opportunities.  For example, they will be hosting a Community Homeless shelter for men from December 27-January 2.

They are looking for volunteers to stay with them overnight at the church.  Also, the church is in need of Eucharistic ministers to the homebound and nursing homes.  They also are having a Thanksgiving box and are looking for people to donate turkeys, boxes of stuffing, cranberry sauce, canned vegetables, etc.  People are also needed to help deliver these boxes on Nov. 24.

Finally, there will be an alternative Christmas Fair at St. Joseph Parish Hall from 9-2 on Nov 22.  For more information, please contact the IHM office or download the newsletter.  I think these are some great ways to give to those in need and to prepare ourselves spiritually for the greatest gift of all--Christ, Our Lord, this Christmas.
