Terry Cook and HT Motorsports have parted way effective immediately, according to a Facebook post on Terry Cook's Facebook page at 6:50pm Pacific time. The announcement continued, "Terry will finish out the season with the MSRP Nationwide Series Team No. 91."
The news comes only hours after Brian Scott, driver of the No. 16 announced his departure from the CWTS in 2010 on SPEED's Race Hub show.
Cook currently sits twelfth in the NASCAR Camping World Truck Series standings in the No. 25 Cajun Industries/Harris Trucking Toyota Tundra. Cook has raced in the CWTS since 1996 with his highest finish in the points being a seventh in 2001.
He has six wins in the series: Flemington Speedway, Gateway Internatinal Raceway, Milwaukee Mile, New Hampshire International Speedway, IRP, Kansas Speedway. His last trip to Victory Lane was in 2006. This season Cook had logged five top-fives and nine top tens.
Cook's teammate, David Starr in the No. 24currently sits ninth in the CWTS points. Cook had 331 truck starts and held the series record of consecutive starts at 223.
The team's website - HT Motorsports - still has no mention of the developments as of this article's posting time.
