I slept with my boss and I'm completely embarrassed. I can't even look him in the eye and my work is suffering. How can I fix this situation?

One night stands are meant to be with strangers met late at night in dive bars, not your boss. You can't go back in time and undo this situation so you must go forth and get over it. You didn't mention how your boss is acting towards you so I am going to assume he is an accomplished one night stand artist and he is acting like nothing happened - which is actually a good thing. If he's not planning your termination, you're already over the first hurdle. Now there's just the emotional baggage you have to deal with. You're going to have to pretend that nothing happened. If he can get over it, you can too. If you're having trouble acting nonchalant around your boss, you may have to ask yourself why you ended up in bed with him. Are you secretly in love with him? Were you hoping it would help your career? Will you fall into bed with anyone who pays attention to you? Once you understand why you slept with your boss it may be easier to move past this. On a final note, you should probably start looking for another job just in case you can't shed the embarrassment and just in case your boss is planning your dismissal. Just be certain to learn from your mistakes and stay out of your new boss' bed.
