Costumes are expensive. Plus you only get to wear them once, then they usually sit in a drawer or hang in a closet (or the floor of the closet if you are like me) and gather dust until the yearly "donate everything to Goodwill" cleaning day. So why not get really creative and make your costume yourself?
What? You can't sew? Well there is a very easy solution for that. The one answer to all of life's little problems - Duct tape. You can get Duct tape in a variety of colors and then you can just let your imagination run wild. A few easy ideas?
- Yellow duct tape on a black shirt and you are... the yellow brick road.
- Try some red duct tape and make horizontal stripes on a white shirt and presto you are... Waldo.
- Wear all pink, duct tape a shoe to your head and you are... used gum.
- Wrap duct tape around your self backwards and stick a bunch of popcorn, candy wrappers and empty soda cups and you are .... the floor of a movie theatre.
