
Take a break from shopping and the stress of the holiday season to enjoy some of the events to be held in Downtown Kingsport. The Downtown Kingsport Association and The Historic Strand Theatre at Restoration Church have teamed up to bring you some very family-friendly (and budget-friendly) events to enjoy during this holiday season.
November 12th: “Miracle on 34th Street”
1947 version with Maureen O’Hara, Edmund Gwenn, and John Payne
Showtime: 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $3.00 for adults; children 12-years-old and under free
November 19th: “Miracle on 34th Street”
1994 version with Richard Attenborough, Elizabeth Perkins, and Dylan McDermott
Showtime: 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $3.00 for adults; children 12-years-old and under free
December 5th: “Miracle on 34th Street”
Showtime: 3:00 p.m.
Admission: Free
December 5th: “Christmas Spectacular Variety Show”
Showtime: 8:00 p.m. (after the Christmas Tree Lighting)
Entertainment: Shiloh Baptist Church Choir, Central Baptist Church Choir, Solo performance by Reverend Lester Latany. (Performances by the Kingsport Theatre Guild and the Kingsport Ballet Company have yet to be verified as of this writing.)
Admission: Free
December 10th and 17th: “Christmas Spectacular Show”
Showtime: 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $3.00 for adults, children under 12 admitted free when accompanied by an adult
December 11th and 18th: “Blue Grass Christmas in the Smokey’s”
Showtime: 7:00 p.m.
Admission: $5.00 (One show per night. There are only 450 tickets available.)
