It's October already and that means it's time for ArtSpan's annual SF Open Studios.  For four weekends in October, beginning on the 10th and 11th, ArtSpan hosts an open studio event, allowing local artists to share their work with the public as well as giving the public a chance to experience what is being created right in their own neighborhood.

This year's event is called Art Made Here, focusing on the premise of supporting and exploring the local art scene.  ArtSpan has broken the city into four geographic areas for each weekend, allowing every part of the city their own weekend to strut their stuff.  Today visitors can explore Bernal Heights, Castro, Duboce, Eureka Valley, Glen Park, Mission, Noe Valley, and Portola.  Studios will be open between 11-6 on each day of the SF Open Studios.
