One of Salt Lake City's most unique places to spend a Friday or Saturday night is a few blocks out of the Pierpont District and buried away on State Street. Circle lounge is a high quality sushi restaurant, hookah lounge, dance club and outdoor patio bar all rolled into one. Which makes it a solid destination no matter what you're looking for.

The club is sectioned off into three main areas. When you walk in you've got a just large enough dance floor surrounded by booths and a bar in the back. You turn a corner and you're standing in the middle of a dinner floor where you can $5 to $15 sushi rolls up until 1 am. If neither spot is your type of vibe, head out the door and you're standing in the largest patio bar in Salt Lake City

So what's Circle Lounge have to offer besides the layout, let's break it down;

Crowd: Circle lounge is borderline club crowd. Not a lot of guys or gals putting out the laid back beach vibe. You're going to see a lot of guys in Affliction T-Shirts and a lot of girls in 5 inch heels and cocktail dresses. That's just the way it goes. Great setting if you're coming in a large group, reserve one of the booths either around the dance floor or on the patio and you're entitled to one large Hookah with enough hoses to go around.  Add Circle Lounge on Facebook if you wanna take a glance beforehand.

Service: First rate. Whether you're trying to get a drink or order some sushi, there's almost always someone to help you out without bending over backwards. It can get a little crowded up near the bar after midnight so reserving a booth or grabbing a table for some sushi might be your best bet once again. The club also employs a few go-go dancers which keep both guys and girls entertained throughout the night.

To get an idea of what kind of specials and get a feeling of the layout, check them out their MySpace Page.

Food: If the idea is to make Circle Lounge simply your spot to grab some apps and entrées to start the night, you won't regret it. The after hours menu gives you a healthy mix of tempura rolls and fresh sushi. Solid choice both for the 7-9 dinner crowd and the Midnight-1:30 pm cravings crowd.

There's really two ways to look at Circle Lounge if you want to include in your night. An early spot to grab a light meal before taking off for the night or you're looking to do the night right and bring the whole crew along (guys or gals). Cover charge is around $8 most nights so bring some cash unless you want to hold up the line.
