This Halloween, do something fun and new while still staying on the budget.   Here are a few cool options for this upcoming weekend:

Ghost Tours:

This year, the city offers two interesting and very spooky tours. Each walking tour lasts about 90 minutes and costs $15. Want even more? Both tours come with drink specials at select venues; Friday and Saturday at 8pm. Call 202-251-7205 to reserve your tickets.

Dupont Circle Host Tour. Meet at the fountain to find out about the neighborhood haunts. Your ticket gets you $3 pints at James Hoban's after the tour.

Capitol Hill Ghost Tour. Meet at the Eastern Market metro station to learn about the ghosts on the Hill. Your ticket gets you all-night happy hour prices at Tunnicliff's Tavern after the tour.

Movies:

You feel like you still did not have enough spookiness for one night? Head to E street cinema where Shaun of the Dead will be playing at midnight on both Friday and Saturday nights. Tickets are from $7.50-$10.00 and can be reserved in advance online.

Halloween night fun:

Hot 99.5 Freek-O-Ween
Fur night club and 99.5 have teamed up to offer you a night of fun with exciting prizes, Hot 99.5 personalities and crowd dressed to the ninth. DJ Chris Styles will be taking over the Martini Room with his smooth mixing of hip-hop sounds, while DJ Cedric Gervais will headline the main floor. Free before 10pm, $20 afterwards. Get there early and instead of paying the cover, maybe treat yourself to a Bloody Mary or other Freek-O-Ween sounding beverage.

The Nightmare at 4723 Elm Street
The Barking Dog in Bethesda offers admission free night of fun, with DJs spinning dance music in the upstairs room from 11p.m to 2a.m, and all night drink specials. Dress are your favorite character and head to the Barking Dog for a booty shaking, fun and spooky Halloween night.
