
A series of attacks againts Pakistani law enforcement buildings Thursday have killed at least 38 people.
Officials say at least 26 people were killed when gunmen in the eastern city of Lahore fired on a building housing the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA). FIA is in charge of examining matters relating to immigration and terrorism.
In one of the attacks in a police training centre in the suburb of Manawa, 10 people died, including six police officers. One gunman and three attackers blew themselves up duriging the attack.
Later a bomb detonated in Peshawar when a suicide car bomber targeting a police station killed at least eight people, including school children and police officers, official said. No one has claimed yet responsibility for the attacks.
Pakistani intelligence officials said Thursday that a suspected missile strike from a U.S. unmanned aircraft, known as drone, killed at least four militants in the North Waziristan tribal region bordering Afghanistan.
Pakistani Taliban has vowed to target military and government targets throughout the country in an offensive that yet has carried out four high-profile terrorist attacks that killed more than 100 people in recent days.
