Every Monday, look here to catch a quality gaming title that’s available for less than $20.  At around $60 a pop, contemporary gaming gets extremely pricey.  Why not play something with a year or so of fermentation beneath its belt?  All of these games are great, so keep coming back and save a few bucks.

The prices shown in this article for this product reflect the date of publication.  Over time, video games tend to get cheaper.  However, games that are considered ‘rare’ go up in price; like anything else.

This week I urge you to rush head-on into a pack of swarming zombies.  Dead Rising came out early on in the 360's console life, and with it came the ability to wield almost any weapon imagineable in order to spread death to the undead in the most gory of fashions.

Before I go any further, I'll explain why this one checks in at $19.99.  This game is a Platinum Hit, that means that it's sold a lot of copies.  Microsoft recognizes the greatness of the game and, thus, has pushed it into the Platinum category in order to gain some more sales off of an already succesful title.  It works, it works for everyone that's late to the party.

Dead Rising's story is just so-so.  You're a reporter dropped into a mall that's being swarmed with zombies.  You have 72 hours to solve the plot's puzzle and get out.  The span of the game and the addictive slaughtering make this one that will stay in your rotation for a long time.

But the real joy in the game, and the thing that will make you want to traverse the undead mall over and over again is the ability to wield almost anything in the game.  Want to push through a horde of zombies with an open patio umbrella?  You can.  Go ahead and grab that bass guitar from the music shop, it'll come in handy when you're surrounded by flesh eaters.  You can even take to a pack of roamers with a lawnmower.  Yes, it eats right through them.

I'm not condoning violence.  I'm condoning savings.  If you kill a few zombies in the process then so be it.  Enjoy this game, for under $20.00 it's completely worth every penny.
