Winners from “South Jersey’s Got Talent” contest sponsored by South Jersey Magazine kicked off a cool First Friday in Haddonfield with performances by Studio Trip and Brett Speesler.
Studio Trip, comprised of Joe Castiglia, Eric McKelvie, Will McCorry and Rob Biello received first place honors in the magazine's "under 18 category". Girls danced around the gazebo during the band’s performance.
Brett Speesler, the winner in the "over 18 category", performed for the crowd at Kings Court. Speesler announced he has a new CD and will perform at First Night Haddonfield on New Year’s Eve.
The cool weather may have been responsible for the sparse crowd last night. Artists and performers tried their best to stay warm while promoting their crafts along Kings Highway.

Belly Dancing 101
One of the highlights of First Friday was a belly dancing performance and demonstration at Z’s Treasures on Mechanic Street. A few men volunteered to learn the basics of belly dancing from Zeynep, a professional dancer and instructor.
Other activities in town included performances from Plays and Players, jewelry displays, photography, drawings, and additional musical groups along Tanner Street and Lantern Lane. More photos can be found on the slide show.
