Celebrate the spice of life in the “Gourmet Ghetto” with cooking demos by local chefs, gourmet street food, artisan food product sampling, beer and wine tasting, a farmers market, art exhibitions, yoga and bodywork demonstrations, over 75 art and craft vendors, local non-profits, schools, and of course, the independent, locally-owned businesses that make the neighborhood legendary.

The event offers lots of activities for kids, including games, carnival rides, farm animals, art, dance and cooking.

Don't miss the Vine Street wine garden, the Create-with-Nature sculpture project, live music on three stages, and gourmet street food booths by neighborhood favorites Saul's, Kirala 2, Corso Trattoria, Bistro Liaison, and Ciocolatta de Vino.

Experience live music, ranging from bluegrass to jazz, on the festival's three entertainment stages - each with seating and a beer & wine garden! Don't miss performances by the Berkeley High Jazz Combos at the Virginia St. Stage, along wth steel drum, latin, rock, and dancers from the Troupe Tangiers. The Farmers Market Stage near Rose St., hosted by the Ecology Center, features old-time, jazz and a jug band. On Vine St. as part of the Vintage Berkeley's wine tasting, sip wine and listen to jazz, bluegrass and bossa nova. Berkeley's Capoeria Association will also be out performing in the street near Rose St. in the late afternoon!

Also, Day of the Dead Altar & "Green" Coffin Decorating:

Hosted by Grace North Church - Bring remembrances of loved one and pets to the festival to add to the Day of the Dead Altar and help decorate a "green" coffin with festive artwork for the North Shattuck Day of the Dead procession to be held on Friday October 30th! The decorated coffin will be also be displayed at the Green Funeral Fair at the church on November 7th.
