Agent Moss has been driving me crazy. Not his character, but the actor (Jeffrey Nordling)….where have I seen him before? Maybe it’s just that he looks like such a “suit” that he looks so familiar. Or maybe it’s because he’s got a slight Ted McGinley look to him and the producers hired him in case 24 really Jumps the Shark this year so they’ll have someone to blame. I finally IMDB’d him and realized that he has played minor characters on a bunch of shows I used to watch, which wasn’t much help. But it did lead to some strange findings:
He and Sarah Wynter both appeared in an episode of Sex and the City in June 1998. In case you don’t recall, Sarah Wynter played Kate Warner on Day 2 of 24. She had her sister’s fiancée investigated and ended up becoming Jack’s girlfriend for a while. I realize that Hollywood isn’t that big of a business, but I’d already made the Janis (Janeane Garofalo) and Sherry Palmer (Penny Johnson) connection. They appeared on The Larry Sanders Show together in 1992! And when Garofalo left the show Mary Lynn Rajskub (Chloe) played her replacement!!
In full disclosure, I must point out that my husband made the first Larry Sanders show connection and is breathlessly waiting for a guest appearance on 24 by Rip Torn.
Now I’m all obsessed with 24 connections and will post any more I find. Feel free to add yours.
