I need a hierarchy chart for the FBI. Obviously Moss is the boss (Hey! That’s funny!) but who has seniority – Janis or Sean? One week Janis is bossing Sean around and last night Sean was barking at Janis like she was his indentured servant. It’s quite confusing. Especially when Janis has been the snarky one up until now, but when she wanted to contact the family of the plant manager she talked to before he died Sean says “Before you send flowers…..” Dude, that was harsh. And it’s not like she had 1-800-FLOWERS on hold or anything.

I also love that no matter how much Moss denies any feelings for Agent Walker, who is now working with Jack and Co. just a few hours after they buried her alive, he stares longingly at her picture on his monitor. Last night he did admit that they have a past. Do they really allow that at the FBI? It seems like it would be prudent not to let people who carry guns date and break up with each other. I’m just sayin’.

Jack and Co. storm the office building where Dubaku is hiding out and rescue the Matobos. I’m still trying to figure out why Bill Buchanan looks so darn HOT this season. Is it the stubble? The gun? The turtleneck? Dubaku rigs up poor Latham, the engineer who was kidnapped in the first minutes of the show to fix up the CIP device, to explosives and blows him up to make his escape. That was sad. The nerdy nice guys always get blown up which makes me glad that A) I don’t understand anything technical and B) I am not that nice. Dubaku goes home and….turns out he has an American girlfriend! She seems very nice and obviously has no idea that she is dating the man responsible for the death of 300 Americans. Of course, by the time the day is over, she will either be dead or be used by the FBI to lure Dubaku out of hiding. I’m guessing dead; waitresses don’t seem to make it either.

And what a disappointing night for Henry Taylor. After valiantly shaking off the paralytic drug and fighting Agent Gedge and WINNING last week, he ends up stuffed in the trunk of another evil FBI agent’s car on his way to Dubaku.

The episode ended with the Matobos taking Jack and Co. (except Tony, who did some very bad things and is afraid he will be arrested) to the White House straight to the President. I’m really glad. There was a great promo for the rest of the season that ran on the first Monday the show aired where President Taylor says to Jack “Why should I trust you?” and Jack says “Frankly, Ma’am, ask around.” and I’ve been waiting to see that scene for weeks now.

The good news from last night: that darn CIP device was destroyed so we won't have to wait breathlessly to find out which plane is going down anymore.
