24: Now terrorizing babies!
Hello, fellow 24-ophiles, sorry to be posting so late but I have spent much of today in deep meditation over the actions (and
reactions) of Agent Walker. I hope you will be happy to hear that I have reached a conclusion: she has no soul.
Maybe it’s just the mother in me talking, but even if you handcuffed me to a BRICK WALL, if you went near my baby with a gun that brick wall would be dragged across the room and clubbed over your red head. And even though Walker handed the baby over to the mother (after getting the info out of the dad – who IS evil, I will acknowledge that) with tears in her eyes I still don’t believe she was sorry. In fact, when she was approaching that playpen she had a little “Think you’re going to scream in my ear on the flight from Washington to L.A. one more time - I don’t think so” gleam in her eye. I think she liked terrorizing that baby and her mother. And I think we need to be on the look out for more. Kids, hide your lollipops….old people, protect your walkers – Agent Walker is on the loose.
And what was with Moss insisting on seeing her in person “I have to know you’re not under duress!”? She could have had an ice cube in her mouth while she was talking to him. He’s practically telling her he loves her (in a totally Official Capacity of course) and she’s “I’m here with
Jack. This is what we need. Oh, and make me a sandwich while you’re at it.” If she doesn’t turn out to be the mole and get whacked I am going to be extremely disappointed.
I’m sure it’s difficult to believe, but the rest of the FBI agents had even
less to do last night than in previous weeks. They were reduced to constantly questioning Moss about the CIP device in a Very Urgent Tone and then admitting they were sleeping together.
Who didn’t see that coming?
Jack got to deliver his Cool Line to the President “With all due respect, Madame President, ask around.” (
Yes, I got the lead up and the wording wrong, but that does not reduce the coolness. It was the high point of the show for me.) He
almost got to rescue the President’s husband who appeared to be dead at the end. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone who hasn’t had the opportunity to watch it all the way through yet so I’ll just say three words: bullet proof vest.
All the manufactured tenseness didn’t really hold my attention last night. I was online and flipping through magazines and I’m not happy about that. Come on 24, up your game! I want it to be difficult for me to fall asleep when the show is over, not falling asleep half way through the episode.
Am I the only one who feels this way? Am I way off? Go ahead, you can tell me.
