A 46-year-old married man drove up from Middlesex County for what he apparently thought would be sex with a 15-year-old girl -- and was promptly arrested by investigators from the Bergen County Prosecutor's Office.
It began as it always does: Cyber-investigators posing as minors were trolling the Internet when they were contacted by Arne Lien of Woodbridge via chats, instant messaging and e-mail, said Prosecutor John L. Molinelli.
"During the course of those conversations, Lien initiated sexually explicit dialog, masturbated while transmitting the images via the Internet, and instructed the juvenile girl to masturbate at his direction," Molinelli said.
Then he asked to meet her, the prosecutor said.
Investigators don't like to reveal the spots they often use for such rendezvous -- with good reason. In this case, suffice to say that Lien showed up in Wayne yesterday morning for the arranged get-together.
Molinelli asks anyone whose child engaged in online contact with “bigandready01@yahoo.com” to contact his office's Computer Crimes Unit.
Lien is being held on $75,000 bail at the Passaic County Jail, charged with attempted sexual assault, luring, attempted child endangerment, attempted criminal contact and manufacturing child pornography.
Molinelli credited Wayne Township police for their role in the arrest, as well as departments from Bogota, Glen Rock and Hillsdale for contributing officers part-time to the task force.
