
Argument with relative turns deadly
A 43-year-old Pontiac man is in police custody after shooting a relative in the head. Police said during a disagreement this morning the suspect pulled out a rifle and killed the victim who was either a nephew or brother of the suspect. Police say the department will be requesting homicide charges when investigators present the case to the Oakland County Prosecutor’s office.
Thieves strike Ypsilanti Hungry Howie's
Two men wearing black and white masks with a handgun, stole cash from a Hungry Howie’s Pizza store in Ypsilanti Township Monday night. The men forced employees to the floor at 2614 Washtenaw and demanded money at about 11 p.m. According to the Washtenaw County Sheriff’s Office both suspects fled on foot and no one was injured. Police have released a description of the two men describing both suspects at about 6 feet tall and 190 pounds. One was wearing a light blue hoodie and blue jeans and the other had on a dark blue hoodie and was carrying a black nylon backpack with black straps.

Missing girl spends night outside school - A missing White Lake Township girl who was the subject of an Amber Alert overnight has been found safe this morning, police said. Brittany McGuire, 12, was reported missing around 5 p.m. Monday. She had been last seen getting off a school bus a couple hours earlier. She indicates she had walked back to school and spent the night outside the school. When McGuire walked into class this morning at Crary Middle School in Waterford School District, school officials alerted authorities. Lt. Rick Mitchell of the White Lake Township police said while they aren’t sure why, they are glad she is back safe.

HIV positive man faces 15 years after biting neighbor’s lip
Daniel Allen, 44, a Clinton Township man is facing up to 15 years in prison for biting Gratiot Fernandis, 28 through the lip and then publicly announcing he was HIV-positive. It was after an argument when Fernandis confronted Allen on Oct. 18, because Allen reportedly cussed out kids who tossed a football into Allen’s yard. Prosecutors and police say Allen was the lone attacker, but Galen claims Fernandis and his relatives took turns beating Allen because he is gay. Court records show Allen has taken out personal protection orders against Fernandis and his wife, Denise Fernandis. Allen is out of jail on a $15,000 surety bond. A pretrial and arraignment in Macomb County Circuit Court is set for Nov. 16.

Hockey coach to plead guilty to sex charge
Accused of paying a boy for oral sex, Robert Boop, 53, a Grosse Pointe South High School hockey coach said he will plead guilty in state and federal court. Bopp, a hall of fame coach will be charged in federal court as early as next week for first-degree criminal sexual conduct. The FBI said it has photos of Bopp having sex with minors.
