Man pleads no contest for taking indecent photo

William Ruiz - Photo Ch. 4
A former Commerce Township Lifetime Fitness employee who took pictures of a woman while she showered, was sentenced to 213 days in jail.
At an Oakland County courthouse today, William Ruiz admitted to slipping a camera phone under the shower door.
During the testimony given by the woman, she said she was told by the management at the gym that there was little they could do. They told the woman known only as Tammy, they didn’t want to take a report because it might cause confusion.
When Tammy decided to call the Oakland County Sheriff’s office they questioned Ruiz and then decided to launch a full investigation.
After the allegations surfaced, Ruiz was fired from the gym.
Police say Ruiz will be on probation for a year and a half when he gets out of jail.
