Koenigsegg (the Swedish supercar-maker), has signed a memorandum
of understanding to acquire Saab from GM. The company is run by people
that understand what Saab was and what drivers want from a car.
Koenigsegg Automotive AB (Swedish pronunciation: ?kø?n?gs?g; English:
/?k?n??s??/) is the Swedish manufacturer of high-performance sports cars
based in Ängelholm.
The company was founded in 1994 by Christian von Koenigsegg who
went into the business to manufacture a world-class supercar. The company
delivered its first street legal production car in 2002.

All koenigsegg models are known for their very high attention to detail as
well as state-of-the-art fit and finish plus the use of high-tech materials and
engineering solutions.
In addition to building the Koenigsegg line of supercars, the company is
also involved in “green technology” development programs. Furthermore,
Koenigsegg is active in development programs for plug-in electric car systems
and next generation combustion engine technology.

In March 2009, Forbes chose the Koenigsegg CCXR as one of the 10 most
beautiful cars the world.
With Koenigsegg, Saab finally has a real good driver at the wheel!
