WHO: Warriors (1-3) at Kings (2-4)
WHEN: 6 p.m. Sunday
TV: CSNBA and NBATV
RADIO: KNBR 680
LAST GAME: Warriors lost to visiting Clippers 118-90 on Friday; Kings beat Jazz in Utah on Saturday 104-99
SEASON SERIES: First meeting
LAST YEAR: Teams split four games evenly, each winning once at home and once on the road. The Warriors won the last two meetings and have won 14 of the last 21 against the Kings although they've lost 24 of the last 31 on the road. The all-time series is tied 177-177.
NELLIE WATCH: Don Nelson needs 23 wins to break the NBA's all-time record.
BACKCOURT WATCH: Monta Ellis and Stephen Curry are listed as the expected starters. However, Kings rookie Tyreke Evans, who is 6-6, 220, gave the Warriors fits in their preseason game and that was a game starter by Anthony Morrow. Evans scored 16 in that game while Kevin Martin tallied 32. Martin is out with a hairline fracture in his wrist and will be replaced by Beno Udrih (6-3, 205) in the starting lineup. Curry looked overmatched against Eric Gordon in the loss to the Clippers and Evans is coming off a career-high 32 points in the Kings' win over the Jazz. Don't be surprised if the Warriors make a change in the starting backcourt.
OF NOTE
-- The Warriors have used four different starting lineups through four games (the Kings, by comparison, used the same lineup each of their first four games before being forced to adjust because of the Martin injury). The projected lineup is Ellis, Curry, Azubuike, Jackson and Moore in place of the hurting Biedrins. However, don't be surprised if Morrow and/or Randolph and/or Biedrins crack the starting five.
-- Ellis has led the Warriors in scoring three of the first four games and is averaging 20.8 points per game, which is 18th in the league.
-- This is the Warriors' second road game of the season. They lost 123-101 to the Suns in Phoenix.
-- Randolph recorded his first double-double of the season with 13 points and 14 rebounds against the Clippers despite missing his first 10 shots (he finished 5-of-15).
-- Joining Evans and Udrih in the Kings' projected starting lineup are center Spencer Hawes (7-1, 245) and forwards Jason Thompson (6-11, 250) and Andres Nocioni (6-7, 225).
-- In his 32-point perfoWarmance against the Jazz on Saturday, Evans, a point guard out of Memphis, was 16-of-19 from the free throw line.
-- On the Kings' bench is Omri Casspi, the first player from Israel to make it in the NBA. He did not play Saturday and is slowed by an injured ankle.
-- This is the Kings' second set of back-to-back games already this year. They were swept the first time, losing by 19 to San Antonio in the second game.
