As the laps started dwindling down in the NASCAR Cup race at Texas Motor Speedway, all eyes were on the Busch brothers; few were watching Kevin Harvick slowly sneaking up behind. When Kyle Busch finally ran out of fuel, suddenly the announcers realized that Harvick was running second, just a few seconds behind race leader Kurt Busch.

When the cars crossed the finish line, Harvick fell to fifth after running out of fuel and slowly coasting across the finish line. For Harvick, it was a great day. The racer has few top 10 finishes for the season and even fewer top five finishes. He may not have finished where he wanted to, but it was a clear sign that the racer is turning things around before the season ends.
