The Russian rock/pop sensation Mumiy Troll is coming to Seattle's Chop Suey Friday, February 6th. The show is slated to be awesome! Unfortunately, with the full allotment of $20 tickets sold out already – it may be too late to plan on hitting the dance floor with post-SSSR rebellious zeal.

The band’s sound exemplifies Russian rock from the 80’s and 90’s. For those familiar with the genre, that usually means low-tech garage rock bands with heavy lyrics and minimal production. The typical Western ear may be offended by the sounds of Ruski rock standards, but Russian transplants living in Seattle, and those who love the language and culture are thrilled to receive the pop icons.

Unfortunately, KEXP is NOT issuing comp tickets so the only way to still get into this show is to get a Russian friend to cough up an extra ticket or smuggle you in to the show in a black duffle bag. Good luck lads and ladies! Hope to see you there.
