Neighbors
Decades ago Neighbors gave birth to the gay dance club scene in Seattle. In recent years it has increasingly become a club for all people. LGBTS (lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgenders, and straights) intermingle in abundance.
Layout: Dance floor and bar on level one, with pool table and second bar above.
R Place
R Place is a three tiered club with a dance floor on top. Many gay men and lesbians prefer R Place over Neighbors, believing that fewer straight guys show up at R Place to scam on girls. The dance floor is smallish and feels tight. The two dancer cages display scantily clad young chaps thrusting their pelvises for tips.
Layout: Main bar and seating on level one. Pool tables and seating on level two. Second bar and dance floor on uppermost level.
The Cuff
This traditional leather bear bar feels more like three clubs in one. The entrance leads into a standard bar format, complete with pool table. Head back and downstairs to the discotheque. Another bar there and dance floor with shimmering balls and beams of rainbow light. Check out the Doghouse: leather and bondage accessory shop.
Layout: Main + back bar, pool tables and Doghouse at entrance level. Dance floor and second bar down the back stairs. Outdoor patio bar and hang out, sports a grill in the summer months.
