General David Petraeus, speaking on CNN this morning, came as close to criticizing ex-Vice President Dick Cheney and condemning the Bush Administrations management of detainee interrogation as he was able.
The Bush Administration, in developing it's strategies and methods in the interrogation of detainees in their "war on terror" chose to ignore the advice of seasoned professionals and rely, instead, on the advice of some who had absolutely zero experience in the matter; Dick Cheney, David Addington, Jay Bybee, John Yoo, Doug Feith, Alberto Gonzales, et al., wanna be tough guys who have managed to cast a dark shadow on the U.S. and deprived it from a position of moral superiority in the world.
