During Hillary Clinton's appearance on ABC News' "This Week", the Senator was asked if she could name a single economist who supported her call for eliminating the federal excise tax on gasoline sales this summer:

"I'm not going to put my lot in with economists. We've got to get out of this mind-set where somehow elite opinion is always on the side of doing things that really disadvantage the vast majority of Americans," said Clinton.

Who would, after all, want a bunch of egghead economists to support your fiscal policy? Jeez, that's such 90's thinking:
