As in past years, new data shows that a large majority of cyclists involved in traffic collisions in the District are male. This isn't surprising given that a comparable percentage of DC cyclists are male. One way to reduce the gender gap: build more bicycle infrastructure that's separated from the traffic, which research shows that women tend to prefer. Or, well, finding a way to get all the not-so-clever male cat-callers to stuff it might help as well.
