Countdown to Mother's Day

Fair warning: MOTHER'S DAY IS 21 DAYS AWAY.

A box of Recchiuti chocolates will go a long way.

Some thoughts for the Dad or partner about gifts:

1. Take the children for at least day. Take care of them all day. That means getting them out of bed, dressed, fed and started on their activities. Don't forget to feed them lunch and dinner. Then get them bathed and ready for bed. Finally, put them bed. That means following the bedtime routine that's been established. It does not mean sitting on the couch in pajamas, watching TV until the kids falls asleep.

2. Spa treatments. Plural.

3. Quiet time -- whether that means taking the kids out of the house so Mom can have personal time or sending Mom out for personal time.

4. Cook dinner for a week.

5. Gift certificate to her favorite store.

6. Commit to spending more time with the kids, without being prompted.

7. A basket of her favorite treats -- edible and non-edible. (e.g. amazing chocolate, everyday pick-me up chocolate, O Magazine, Lucky shopping magazine, eye mask, etc.)

8. Compliment her more in general.

9. Remind her that she's sexy.

10. Make out with her. (It's not always about doing the deed. It's about intimacy.)
