Daily Candy -- Kids

April 25, 9:00 AM

If you haven't heard about DailyCandy.com, where have you been? There is a version for parents, too. Check it out here. This week's post:

Stroller rims. Candied pacifiers. Baby grillz.

Some of your ideas haven’t gone over so well with the under-12 set. So instead of waiting for another light to go off above your head, just put it in your, er, hand.

Meet the Tykho Bulb, a kid-friendly light source that’s simply a cool-burning fluorescent surrounded by a squishy, touchable rubber glove. The brightly colored lamp comes in a variety of hues and can even run on batteries, so curious tykes won’t get tangled in messy cords.

If it breaks, there’s no sharp glass to pick up. Just dump the contained mess in the trash and insert a new tube.

And when others wonder how you managed to come up with such an amazing thought?

Just say it’s another one of your bright ideas.
