Want to get the inside scoop on Iditarod mushers? Here are links to some of their personal or kennel websites, along with a quick fact about each musher listed. In no particular order:

  • Martin Buser: Four time Iditarod winner, recognized for how well he treats his dogs.
  • Ryan Redington: Grandson of Joe Redington Sr., who is known as the "Father of the Iditarod".
  • DeeDee Jonrowe: She's wildly popular with Iditarod fans, has 14 top ten finishes in the Iditarod, and, like Martin Buser, has been recognized for her excellent dog care.
  • Lance Mackey: With back-to-back Iditarod wins and four Yukon Quest championships under his belt, Lance Mackey is also the only musher to have pulled off the mushing double crown.
  • Sebastian Schnuelle: It's a safe bet that this 2009 Yukon Quest champion has his eye on repeating Lance Mackey's feat.
  • Paul Gebhardt: He builds his own dog sleds and has finished the Iditarod in second place more than once. Is this his year to win?
  • Bjørnar Andersen: This year's representative of Team Norway, which rotates its mushers through the Iditarod one at a time.
