I see the same recent updates on the national real estate situation that everyone else is seeing, and, it's encouraging. Overall, we saw a surprise jump in sales nationwide, which, if not the "end" of the RE bust, can't be interpreted as anything but positive news.

Locally, we're not quite as optimistic. Although the national RE market showed us a surprise jump, According to the Massachusetts Association of Realtors, sales in MA we're actually down significantly over the last month.
 

What to take away from all this? There are bright spots that we're seeing, and we have good reason to be positive. It looks like locally we're going to take a little longer to start a recovery.
