Vanilla Hot Chocolate and Chocolate Marshmalls...Mmm.

Vanilla Hot Chocolate w/ Chocolate Marshmallows
Makes 8 Servings
Ingredients:

  • 1cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 vanilla bean, split crosswise and scarped or alternately 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla extract.
  • 3 ounces white chocolate candy bar, coarsely chopped
  • 2 ounces milk chocolate candy bar, coarsely chopped
  • 1/4 cups unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions:

1. Pour milk and salt into a medium-size saucepan. Place over medium heat and cook, stirring, until the mixture is hot. Do not boil.
2. Split the vanilla bean lengthwise and scrape out the seeds. Add the seeds to the saucepan.
3. Add the chocolates and cocoa and stir until the chocolate has melted and the mixture is smooth. Don't rush this step by turning up the heat, or the white chocolate may burn.
4. Pour the hot chocolate into four mugs and serve immediately, topped with Chocolate Marshmallows.
