The American Homebrewers Association has been working with a group of homebrewers in Alabama to legalize homebrewing in the state – one of just four States in the US where homebrewing is not legal.  They have lined up Alabama State Senator Larry Dixon to sponsor a homebrew bill, SB492, in the Senate.

Alabama homebrewers and beer enthusiasts are seeking a concurrent bill introduced in the House to have a reasonable chance for success this year.  There are no paid lobbyists involved with this initiative.  It is entirely a grassroots effort.  If you live in Alabama and wish to help please join Support Your Local Brewery network and request additional information.
