If you enjoy oysters or stout ale, this little gem of a video may get your mouth watering. Oysters and stout, both eating them together and brewing with them have a long history . Historians postulate that it was the minerals in the sea water, shells and oysters themselves that enhanced the character of a stout brewed with these sea creatures. Anyone who loves raw oysters knows the joys of drinking a pint of stout on the half shell. The experience is delicious, satisfying and sensual.
Now New Jersey’s Flying Fish Brewery recently released another brew in their [New Jersey Turnpike] Exit Series beers: Exit 1 Bayshore Oyster Stout.
Past beers
Exit 4 American Trippel
Exit 11 Hoppy American Wheat
There are 18 New Jersey Turnpike exits and the Brewery is taking beer style suggestions for the remaining Exit series beers.
