John McCain and beer? What will he be drinking, if beer at all? The answer is a no brainer. Budweiser of course. His wife owns one of the biggest Budweiser distributorships in the country. It makes business sense to wave the banner that pays the bills. But one has to wonder, whether he will be hankering for any of Minnesota craft beer or for that matter any craft brewed American beer. Afterall, good beer has no boundaries and that includes political ones.
I understand that there’s a distraction at the moment. Hurricane is having a sizable impact on millions of people. It would seem logical that being seen having a beer as a these few days might not be the best idea in the world of politics.
But in the off chance he sneaks a beer off camera here’s a few beer notions.
If I were him perhaps I’d be seen with a beer from Summit Brewing. He is striving for new summits in his political career. The Summit Porter is soothing and relaxing – my recommendation.
Perhaps enjoying a “Convention Ale” brewed by the Flat Earth Brewing Company might get some votes. He might score big with the creationists?
As I’ve said in a previous posting, the word “publican” is included in “Republican.”
One final note. If I were running for president, I’d take a glass of beer to the podium with me. Sometimes the best solutions to problems arrive over a glass of beer.
