More beer for the RNC (Republican National Convention)

            On tap at the Rock Bottom – Minneapolis, at 800 LaSalle Plaza Minneapolis, Republican National Convention goers can anticipate these beers on tap: Stillwater Stout which is their Oatmeal Stout, Catcher in the Rye which is a Rye Pale Ale, and a Belgian Saison on tap as their seasonal offerings during the RNC in the Twin Cities. They’ll also be offering some Cedar aged Catcher in the Rye on cask that week.

            The Herkimer Brewery and Pub at 2922 Lyndale Ave S., in Minneapolis currently has on tap, Vienna, High Point Dunkel, dark Weissbier (wheat beer), Sky Pilot Celler Bier and an Altbier. They also promise to have an unusual style of beer called Leipziger Göse which is a sour wheat beer made with wheat, coriander, salt and other more tradtional ingredients.

            Then there’s local brewery, Summit Brewing Company at 910 Montreal Circle in St. Paul. Their beers are sold in bottles and on tap at many favorite locations throughout the area. There are too many great beers they brew to list here, but be sure to try their Summit Porter, Summit Pilsener and Summit IPA – some of my favorites.
