Homebrewing is suddenly becoming a bit more attractive to beer drinkers in the current economy. The American Homebrewers Association is bracing for a overflow crowd at its annual event this year in California.
Ken Grossman, owner and founder of the Sierra Nevada Brewing Company will be the keynote speaker at the 2009 National Homebrewers Conference at the Oakland Marriott Hotel in California. Though the primary and secondary hotels are sold out, there is still space available in other area hotels.
Registration for the conference is about 35% sold out and American Homebrewers Association director Gary Glass is anticipating that the conference will sell out in the first quarter of 2009.
The conference will be June 18-20 in Oakland, California. For more information visit the American Homebrewers Association conference website.
