Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto Hosts Berkeley’s Kitchen Benefit Dinner

Spenger's Fresh Fish Grotto will host a Berkeley’s Kitchen Benefit Dinner to be held on Thursday, November 12, 2009, beginning at 6:30 PM.
The evening’s prix fixe menu, prepared by Spenger's Executive Chef Devon Boisen, in association with Berkeley’s Kitchen chefs Cristina Lau and Anna Zulaica (winners of the 2009 Crabby Chef Competition), will consist of four courses, plus passed hors d'oeuvres, paired with the perfect beers. The cost of the dinner is $60.00 per guest, including tax and gratuity. Call (510) 845-7771 to reserve seats for the dinner. Advance reservations are required.
Guests will enjoy passed hors d'oeuvres of Fall Satsuma Mandarin Ravioli with Crab Sauce paired with Widmer Hefeweizen; a first course of Dungeness Crab Crepes paired with Anchor Steam Beer; a second course of Crispy Crab Chowder paired with Gordon Biersch Märzen; a third course of Cristina’s Crab Three Way paired with Lagunitas IPA; and for dessert, a Crab Apple Orange Blossom Marshmallow Napoleon paired with Red Hook ESB.
