It must be November sweeps. Oprah Winfrey has announced that Twilight author Stephenie Meyer and Sarah Palin will both be guests on upcoming episodes of the Oprah show. Media-shy Stephenie Meyer will be on Oprah Friday, November 13th, and former Alaska governor Sarah Palin will visit the set on Monday, November 16th.
Twilight author Stephenie Meyer will make her one and only TV appearance to promote The Twilight Saga: New Moon on Oprah. On her blog, the celebrated author said, “You know I've been doing the hermit thing this last year, in so far as media is concerned, and I'm not changing that now, but I am making an exception. I'm doing this for a good reason: I am so pleased and amazed and thrilled with what Chris Weitz has done with New Moon that I want to talk about it, and to show my support for him. And since I'm only doing one interview, better make it big. Really big. So, I will be on The Oprah Winfrey Show on Friday, November 13th.” Fans will tune in to catch the latest buzz about New Moon, Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart and Taylor Lautner.
Next up on Oprah will be former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, who will no doubt promote her new book called Going Rogue: An American Life. The interview should be interesting, especially since Oprah publicly supported Barack Obama in last year’s election. Will Oprah ask the sometimes-controversial ex-governor hard questions? You betcha. It’s sweeps month, after all.
