Dancing With the Stars said goodbye to Aaron Carter, but the real show stealers on the week eight results show were Susan Boyle and Sabrina Bryan.
During the “Design-a-Dance” performance, which was decided upon by voters, Sabrina Bryan returned to dance with her partner from season five, Mark Ballas. Dancing to “Eye of the Tiger” the two roared onto the dance floor, and entranced viewers with their passion, meticulous moves and unbridled enthusiasm. Viewers were left to wonder why this talented dance pair was voted off of season five when they were the best dancers of that particular season. To this day, it remains a Dancing With the Stars controversy that simply will not fade away.
Susan Boyle took the stage with the grandeur and respect she deserves. While singing the anthem that catapulted her to super stardom, “I Have a Dream,” Tony Dovolani and Chelsie Hightower danced beautifully. The effect was simply stunning for Dancing With the Stars fans.
Finally, it was time to reveal which couple would be leaving the show. The final two couples left in the spotlight were Kelly Osbourne and partner Louis Van Amstel and Aaron Carter and his partner Karina Smirnoff. Despite a victorious battle against the flu, Aaron and Karina received the lowest combined scores from the judges and the voters.
The four couples who will compete next week in the semi-final round of Dancing With the Stars are: Kelly Osbourne and Louis Van Amstel, Joanna Krupa and Derek Hough, Mya and Dmitry Chaplain, and Donny Osmond and Kym Johnson. Let the games begin!
